More tuition predictability
This year’s base tuition and fees increase averages about 1.8 percent, trending downward from an average of 2.9 percent last year.

Tuition guarantees and pledges at the universities have enabled greater tuition predictability for Arizona students and families. The NAU Pledge tuition guarantee program and the University of Arizona Guaranteed Tuition program provide tuition rates are predictable, allowing students and families to plan for college expenses. Arizona State University has maintained its pledge to keep tuition increases to less than 3 percent for five years.
The Arizona Board of Regents redesigned student funding model directs state dollars toward Arizona’s resident students and has set a multi-year goal to split the cost to educate resident students with our state and universities to provide financial stability and allow the universities to make multi-year tuition plans.
