RISING GRADUATION RATES

Graduation rates at Arizona’s public universities are on the rise.

In addition to bold goals for increasing enrollment, Arizona’s public universities are making significant strides to increase graduation rates through innovative retention initiatives, educational delivery models, student services and outreach programs. For the fourth consecutive year, system-wide graduation rates have increased and are now at 61.5 percent for students earning bachelor’s degrees. In 2009-10, the six-year graduation rate was 56 percent overall.

The Arizona Board of Regents has set aggressive college completion goals for our universities to increase the system-wide graduation rate – one of ABOR’s key metrics – to 71.5 percent by 2025.
