INVESTING IN RESEARCH AND INFRASTRUCTURE

The biggest investment in Arizona’s universities in a generation brings $27 million a year for 25 years and a $1 billion bonding capacity for Arizona’s public universities and makes possible the development of new research and education facilities to meet the needs of future generations of Arizonans.

The transformational investment, championed by Gov. Ducey and supported by the legislature, also helps address the critical backlog of university repairs, renovations and upgrades to existing facilities.

The FY 2018 budget also delivers $15 million for the resident-student funding model, supporting an ongoing commitment from the state to deliver the affordable, high-quality university education that Arizona students and their families expect and our Constitution guarantees.
